Food recalls and alerts for the first week of July came from England, Ireland, USA, Canada, Austria, Australia, New Zealand, France, Belgium, Germany, Norway and Denmark.
Welcome to this edition of the recall round-up gallery and we find a lot of the usual suspects behind withdrawals.
We start with foreign body contamination which has affected ConAgra Foods and its P.F. Chang's frozen chicken and beef entrée products in the US after an employee saw metal fragments while working. Staying in this region, the Coca-Cola Company has recalled some Hubert's Lemonade due to potential glass fragments in some bottles, according to a notice on Wegman's webiste.
Broken glass has also prompted a recall of beetroot in Germany.
Canada Herb has recalled chili peppers due to possible Salmonella in Canada, while Roussillon Salaisons withdrew items in France due to Listeria concerns. Bacterial contamination worries after a production error prompted a recall in Norway of a product from Belgium.
Cumberland Farms has recalled chocolate in the US due to undeclared peanut and the same allergen prompted a recall of muesli bars in Australia from Aldi.
Undeclared soy in pita bread led to a recall in New Zealand and this allergen as well as undeclared egg prompted action in Ireland by Premia Health.
Aflatoxin B1 levels were exceeded in pistachios from Wonderful Brands in Belgium and fermentation potential led to a withdrawal of juice from Irma stores in Denmark.
