15 August - Germany: Schlossbrauerei Stöckle Schmieheim has recalled some bottles of beer because they may contain traces of a cleaning agent.
Bier Geroldsecker in a 0.33 Ltr flip-top bottle has been on the market since August 1 and distributed in Baden with a date code of 21/1/15.
The firm said it can not be excluded that some bottles of this batch contain traces of cleaning solution lye (caustic soda), which if swallowed can be very corrosive.
Consumers who have purchased these products are asked not to consume and return to the place where they purchased it. Should consumers who have drank the product suffer from signs of burns, they should immediately consult their doctor.
