EnviroLogix has received AOAC Performance Tested Method (PTM) certification for its aflatoxin test kit.

The firm is also adding to its DNA detection portfolio to include Salmonella enteriditis.

The Aflatoxin FREE test kit is an immunoassay which is a biodegradable, water-based mycotoxin test that delivers quantifiable results in four to seven minutes depending on the matrix.

Alfa FREE joins the previously AOAC certified mycotoxin tests such as DON 3, Ochratoxin and Aflatoxin.

Quantitation with the QuickScan System gives results up to 100 ppb.

The format is lateral flow membrane strips (dipsticks), 50 strips/kit, sealed in a desiccated, reclosable plastic canister; dilution buffer, biodegradable extraction buffer and reaction vials.

The DNAble Salmonella portfolio expansion will include Salmonella enteriditis and the firm plans to add Listeria spp and L.monocytogenes and other pathogen tests in the future.

DNAble is an isothermal technology enabling amplification of a specific DNA target.

The firm will have the systems and present posters at the 129th AOAC Annual Meeting from September 27-30.
