Sealed Air and Alchemy Systems are to work together in Latin America and North America.

The firms said they will help producers and exporters meet growing and changing industry regulations by identifying and addressing risks in their supply chains.

Sealed Air has expertise and technology to deliver insights in real time to proactively manage supply chains.

The firm said by using predictive and remote tracking technology, a company can track production and operations, improve traceability and keep food safe from contamination.

Sealed Air generated $4.2bn in sales in 2016 and has 14,000 employees who serve customers in 117 countries.

Karl Deily, president of Food Care at Sealed Air, said the partnership will provide insight driven e-learning to customers.

“This offering will enable them to continuously enhance their operations, while addressing the growing demand for compliance to local and international standards.”

Alchemy builds customized, compliance driven e-learning and offers consulting for the industry.

Such programs help companies achieve certifications like Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) and prepare for regulation such as the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA).

More than two million workers at 20,000 locations use Alchemy’s programs.

Jeff Eastman, Alchemy CEO, said it will help companies accelerate progress on building robust and sustainable food safety programs.

“The entire food supply chain from growers to processors and retailers are working hard to improve their food safety programs in light of consumer and regulatory pressures.”
