Mérieux NutriSciences has acquired a Brazilian lab to expand business in Latin America.

Laboratório São Camilo de Análise de Alimentos e Água (São Camilo) was founded in 2001 to do analysis for the food and environmental industries.

São Camilo will be integrated into Bioagri, a Mérieux NutriSciences company, to become one of the largest networks of private analytical laboratories in Latin America.

Accredited by MAPA, INMETRO and REBLAS, São Camilo offers chemistry, microbiology and microscopy testing for the food, water and environmental services segments.

The addition of São Camilo will allow Bioagri to expand our service offerings, especially for clients in the food and environmental sectors while maintaining our commitment to customer service excellence,” said Luis Fernando Maida, president of Bioagri.

“São Camilo’s strong market share for the milk, meat and poultry industries for export are complimentary to the scope of services currently being offered.”
