Clean storage systems are the latest trend to reduce contaminants in the workplace, according to the firms behind their manufacture.
Clean storage systems can keep the work environments well organized while helping to prevent product contamination and the spread of foodborne illness, said Carometec and ITEC/ATTEC Company Group.
A "clean area" is where workers’ boots, gloves, helmets, aprons and other personal hygiene items can safely be stored without spreading contaminates to things in the production and preparation process.
Carometec manufactures storage systems from boot storage racks to units that implement built-in dryers to expedite the sanitation processing, ensuring equipment is ready for use during the next shift.
“Clean storage takes quality control to the top level of cleanliness for any meat or snack processing plant,” explained Jeb Supple of Carometec.
“It’s important to remember that employee work spaces such as locker rooms, are just as important as the processing plant floor.”
