FSNS announces course schedule for food safety training

Food Safety Net Services (FSNS) has revealed its course schedule for food safety training for 2017.

FSNS will offer training sessions on Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP), Safe Quality Food (SQF), Food Safety Preventive Controls Alliance (FSPCA), Preventive Controls for Human Food, British Retail Consortium (BRC) Global Standard for Food Safety - Issue 7, Internal Auditing, Microbiology and Food Safety and Reshaping your HACCP Plan With Preventive Controls.

HACCP training course dates
  • January 24-25, 2017 | Phoenix, Arizona
  • March 28-29, 2017 | Fresno, California
  • April 25-26, 2017 | San Antonio, Texas
  • May 10-11, 2017 | Amarillo, Texas
  • July 17-18, 2017 | Boise, Idaho
  • September 12-13, 2017 | Atlanta, Georgia

Courses will be offered on multiple dates throughout the year at FSNS facilities across the US and SQF training sessions will be available through webinar access.

FSNS is a national network of ISO 17025 accredited testing laboratories.  

Meanwhile, Aaron Pleitner has joined the company as research scientist.

Dr Pleitner will be managing in-plant and in-lab process validation for CCP verification, test method validation, shelf-life testing as well as challenge and antimicrobial efficacy studies.

Prior to joining FSNS, Dr Pleitner assisted Nestlé Nutrition with its process validation, HACCP coordination and aseptic process verification and has worked in quality and regulatory operations for General Mills.

Dr Pleitner’s background also includes teaching college coursework in Food Microbiology and Introduction to Food Processing for Purdue University and University of Alberta.

“Dr Pleitner is a great asset to our team as he possesses both the education and experience we need to manage our scientific studies and process validation efforts,” said John Bellinger, CEO of FSNS.
