The Food and Environment Research Agency (Fera) and Waters Corporation have partnered to open a food safety training facility today (Tuesday).
The UK-based centre, aimed at improving compliance with EU food import standards, will primarily train scientists concerned with exporting foods to Europe.
In the first year of operation courses at the International Food Safety Training Laboratory (IFSTL) will cover pesticide residues, veterinary drug residues and mycotoxins.
The site is equipped with Waters' ACQUITY UPLC-MS/MS systems, sample preparation components, and mycotoxin analysis tools
