Vive la France for Mérieux NutriSciences microbiology testing
Silliker’s lab will reinforce the microbiology capacities of the firm’s five laboratories in France.
The 850m² laboratory has an enlarged platform for analytical services in microbiology, equipment and capacity for research programs for shelf life studies and challenge tests for the food industry.
"With the emergence of new pathogens linked to food and an increased understanding of the significant links between nutrition and health, the research stakes are particularly important,” said Philippe Sans, president and CEO of Mérieux NutriSciences.
Based in the Saint-Ouen l’Aumône (Paris area) it has been accredited by COFRAC (French Association responsible for laboratory accreditation).
“This new laboratory was designed to meet today's and future food safety and quality challenges for food services, catering and retailers throughout the supply chain, proposing new methods and expertise for microbiology analysis,” said David Valenti, managing director of Silliker France.
