The vertical DynaClean Z conveyor is geared toward food operations needing to move product over significant heights.

The DynaClean Z food-grade conveyor, manufactured by Dynamic Conveyor, is intended to give food processing operations a machine easier to clean and more cost effective than bucket conveyors.

High hopes

Paul Kuharevicz, engineering manager for Dynamic Conveyor, told FoodProductionDaily the unit is suited for food manufacturing operations.

The DynaClean vertical Z conveyor is an ideal solution for food processing facilities who have a need to move product to higher elevations," he said.

According to the company, the Z configuration conveyor is easy to clean and sanitize. That feature is said to lead to shorter downtimes and reduced overall cost of ownership when compared to standard bucket elevators.

"Customers looking for elevator conveying solutions that are easy to maintain and clean will be pleased with the new DynaClean vertical Z conveyor," Kuharevicz said.

Customer Dave Miller, maintenance supervisor at Pan-O-Gold Baking, said the ease of cleaning makes a difference in operational efficiency.

The ease in which the DynaClean comes apart for cleaning with no tools is great, just a matter of minutes from start to finish of the sanitation process,” Miller said.

Custom conveying

Each conveyor can be customized to fit a food environment’s specifications, including height and widths up to 24 inches. Owners can choose from a variety of belt styles, including the manufacturer’s solid-surface ThermoDrive and plastic link style belting.

Additionally, the conveyors come with a range of drive flight options (such as standard, 75-degree and scoop-flight configurations), according to product produced and desired throughput. The conveyors can be set up to accept product from a vibratory feeder; options for stand-alone or attached hoppers for bulk product feeding also are available.

The conveyors are composed of plastic and stainless steel materials that meet NSF, FDA, USDA, and BISCC standards. All of the materials reportedly are corrosion resistant, non-toxic, non-absorbent and temperature resistant.
