US FDA approval Weston 705 liquid antioxidant
Addivant, which makes polymer additive technologies, has announced its Weston 705 liquid antioxidant, the next generation of nonylphenol-free phosphite technology, has received approval from the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for food contact applications.

Peter Smith, president/CEO, Addivant, said Weston 705 antioxidant provides superior safety as well as enhanced polymer performance and higher processing productivity versus conventional solid phosphites.

Not only does the technology overcome the drawbacks of conventional solid phosphites, it allows customers to capitalize on latent technology to further enhance their polymer architecture to meet the very latest needs of processing systems, end markets and applications,” he added.
