The SGS session will focus on food allergen management
SGS will host a breakfast session on food allergen management at the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) Global Conference on 28 February in Anaheim, California, USA.

Wal-Mart, Cargill and the University of Nebraska will speak about allergen management as part of food safety practices.

Speakers will discuss allergen risk management and the role of thresholds, the importance of effective supplier assurance schemes in allergen management, regulations and challenges of implementation and advances in allergen testing and detection.

The SGS breakfast session ‘Allergen Management: an Integral part of a Safe Food Supply Chain’ is on 28 February at 8:00 to 9:00AM.

Results of a study by the firm to understand industry practices and challenges in the control and management of allergens will also be shared.
