Silliker Inc. is rebranding to Mérieux NutriSciences with the process ongoing throughout the year.

Mérieux NutriSciences is a subsidiary of Institut Mérieux, which has more than 13,000 employees.

The rebranding process has begun with the launch of the Mérieux NutriSciences website and myMXNS, the company's online testing results portal.

Silliker has been part of Institut Mérieux since the nineties and was incorporated as Mérieux NutriSciences in 2011.

The Silliker name will still have a presence in the food industry, said Jim Miller, Silliker NA president.

Its laboratory in Crete, Illinois, will be renamed the John H. Silliker Solution Center and the Silliker Lecture Series, at the International Association for Food Protection, will continue.

Institut Mérieux generates annual sales in excess of €2bn from its three subsidiaries, bioMérieux, Transgene and Mérieux NutriSciences, and entities - Mérieux Développement and ABL Inc.
