Hygiena opens Canada facility to address growing demand in the region

Hygiena, which specializes in rapid food safety and environmental sanitation testing, has opened a facility in Canada called Hygiena Canada, to better serve customers in the region.

The Mississauga Ontario, facility will include sales, marketing, customer service, operations and warehousing.

It will be the first facility to house all Hygiena products, including its EnSure and SystemSure PLUS ATP Sanitation Monitoring Systems, allergen and indicator organism tests and the BAX System​ PCR assays and RiboPrinter DNA fingerprinting system.

Health Canada

Hygiena BAX System validated PCR Assays are approved by Health Canada, for use in foods and environmental surface samples.

The federal agency has included the BAX System methodologies in its Compendium of Analytical Methods. The Compendium is the official Canadian method reference approved and used by Health Canada’s Health Products and Food Branch to determine compliance with government standards and guidelines.

Headquartered in Camarillo, California, Hygiena has offices in Wilmington, Delaware, Mexico, Canada, the UK and China, with more than 80 distributors in 100 countries worldwide.
