Over 1,500 exhibitors, which corresponds to a 14% increase, exhibited on space covering 121,000 m² in 2015.
Koelnmesse, the organiser of Anuga FoodTec, and the PMMI Association for Packaging & Processing Technologies, the organiser of trade shows in the US and Mexico such as Pack Expo, revealed an existing agreement is being expanded.
The trade show organisers will put together an event in North America in spring 2017 to focus on food processing and packaging.
Koelnmesse also revealed it was to organize the packaging technology trade fair Andina-Pack with Corferias - the Colombian trade fair organizer Corporación de Ferias y Exposiciones.
Starting in 2017, the two companies will jointly organize the packaging technology trade fair, until then it will continue to be staged by trade fair organizer Pafyc.
