A selection of the biggest recalls from around the world in the last week.....
18 May 2012 - California-based River Ranch Fresh Foods has initiated a recall of bagged salads over concerns the products are contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes.
The firm issued the voluntary recall after a routine random finished product test conducted by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) discovered the pathogen.
The bagged salad products were distributed to retailers across the US and Canada under the brand names River Ranch, Farm Stand, Hy-Vee, Marketside, Shurfresh, and the Farmer’s Market.
To date, no illnesses have been reported in association with this recall.
The recall has since been extended.
