Lock provides quality assurance for ingredients company

Lock Inspection Systems high frequency metal detector has enabled EHL Ingredients to meet BRC standards.

UK-based EHL is an importer, blender and packer of ingredients such as herbs and spices, to beans and pulses and dried fruit from China, Turkey, Sri Lanka and Mexico.

The ingredients are packed into bags from one kilo through to 25 kilos in weight and checked using Lock’s Met30+ Universal detector, which can detect ferrous and non-ferrous metals and high grade stainless steel contaminates.

The Lock detector has high frequency tuning, which means that the line automatically stops when an article has been detected enabling us to quickly investigate the incident and particle helping to preserve product integrity and give us ultimate product confidence,” said Mike Perrin, Technical Manager at EHL Ingredients.
